Questions to Ask Before Buying Insurance

Before asking "Which policy should I buy?" ask: "What problem am I trying to solve?"

That one question can change the entire conversation.

A good insurance conversation shouldn't leave you with fewer questions because you're afraid to ask them. It should leave you with fewer questions because someone actually answered them.

  • For how long is it guaranteed?

Questions About Features

Questions About Ownership and Beneficiaries

  • Who owns the policy?
  • Who is insured?

One More Question

Ask the person recommending the product: "Why do you believe this is appropriate for what I told you I'm trying to accomplish?"

You should be able to understand the answer.
